The 2018 year-long studio project: Redrawing from life
My starting point was to revisit work made very quickly in the life class and select drawings. I re-worked, grouped and redrew these figures. I upscaled and began to explore larger gestures to maintain freedom in my marks. I created a series of drawings by first putting down a big mark, working quickly in the life room. These were shown in the summer at Birdwood House and Redpod Studios. Along the way I explored mark-making via workshops and in the studio and continued to work with pigment and ink.

There's no time like studio time.
